You can tell these were translated from the Japanese by the inclusion of the OCG exclusive vanillas
Basically a paperweight??
I always wondered where those cards came from
Remember getting that as a kid and plating with my friend, good times
These are too dope tho. Id buy some
i remember those fake ass foils they look fire actually
I had many of these😂😂😂 Summoned Skull was Call of Monster
Bellissime
I would allow my opponent to use some of these as proxy cards fornthe actual ones simply fornhow cool they look
Not gonna lie even if are fake still cool, every yu gi oh player should have at least 1 fake box just for remember the times where fakes was going hard, also the manufactory look better then shitty modern yu gi oh cards
I remember that when Yu-Gi-Oh! was a huge thing back then with their trading cards, the flea markets would be selling these same knockoffs at a cheap price. I do have some of those knockoff cards and the real ones.
Those vintage fake cards are my childhood and i try to found them. What's your price if i eventually buy them ?
Nostalgia 😂
When i was around 12 to 16 about 20 years ago there wasn't easy access to real Yu-Gi-Oh Cards in my country so me and my friends would get these and print 9 cards on a A4 paper, then paste over them either with glue or clear tape to make us proxies, ah good ol times.
Aha. Were you guys tapped into what was meta competitive at the time? Or just whatever goofy fun cards you were interested in?
@@dragon-id5uj Pretty much whatever looked cool, we barely knew the rules at the time so our decks would be a bunch of wacky stuff, I remember one of my friends had like 9 Pot of Greed in his deck. So yeah goofy stuff
You know there is a thing called nail clippers fucking hell guys trying to look like Freddy Krueger out here😂
7 year old me buying these from the 99¢ store in search of Dark Magician Girl and the Egyptian Gods is a nostalgic memory.
What's crazy is how many of those "Artworks" belong to actual cards. "Seal Sacrificing Mask" Pretty sure that's just "Mask of Restrict" Artwork. "Inconsiderate Greed" is just the artwork of "Reckless Greed". "Ravishing" is the artwork of "Snatch Steal". "Red Lotus Magic Beast Da Iza" is just the artwork of "Gran Mazu De Iza". "Thunder Empress" is just the artwork for "Thunder Nyan Nyan". "Disturbing Beast Green" is just the artwork of Ojama Green.
Actually I remember having cards like that but it was Pokémon not yugioh , they exact the same box but in Pokémon 😂
My favorite card is "Darkly Big Rabbi"
These were the best back in the day You can’t find bootleg decks like this for a dollar anymore, I just want to get my kids into the game without spending an arm and a leg lmfao
These were in Chinatown, Black Man Eating Shark!
Bro, red lotus beast is one of my favorite cards
I find it hilarious that there are people that do not know anything about yugioh and sell these fake cards on ebay claiming that they are "prototypes" for outrageous prices. Ive messages a few telling them that they are fake and they get super defensive
My grandma got me a couple boxes of these, they weren’t all foil but they had all the best cards from the game at the time. Looks like they nerfed these a bit because in one box i got all three god cards.
We need a Yu-Gi-Oh format exclusively for bootleg Yu-Gi-Oh cards lmao
"Looks like ass." Same
I remember Black Magician of Chaos named Black Cows Magician lol
Hope we’re starting with 80,000 instead of the basic unoriginal 8,000.
I would murder for those😂 Crazy, didnt thought about finding those rn😂
Where did you buy these? a local store or online? Been looking to get some, but it's been years since I've seen them for sale...
Give em a huge sniff
Bro why the cards are the same as my fake cards 20 years ago😂
You unlocked a memory in my mind God damn
I kid you not, I used have these cards when I was a wee boy.
It's so funny seeing a card with 19000 ark lol but also so nostalgic
Geez, those stats for the yellow border cards. Japanese style with English text was a bit weird, too.
I didn't even know there were packs of these, figured they just got sold as singles because I rarely ever traded with anyone that had more than a couple.
Man Yugioh Magic CardV sucks ass Seriously though...... Yuyu and his counterparts Yuta, Yuga, Yuro and Zard are pretty interesting interesting characters since all of them had awesome universal Necklaces that can communicate with themselves and their universal dragons Suzy/Yuna and her counterparts Cecelia, Ramona, Lora and Raven had potential to be awesome characters but they keep on having them be tossed aside for more of Yuyu and Zard's battles. Also apparently Yuna is the only Universal counterpart who wears a bracelet on her arm just because they wanted to maker her special. Ramona never played any games at all (Not even against Yuga her soulmate) instead Yuna showed up and played 1 last game against Yuga and defeated him with her Musical Flower Angel Mericat. My favorite moment from the show was when Yuna started to wear Cecelia's warriors outfit (simple red jacket, a broad grey skirt, a black vest that is half unzipped over a white shirt and large black and red boots) to get captured first so that she can help her Universal selves from being merged into 1 but it backfired when Yuyu came and defeated the bad guys before he merged with his universal counterparts with their pendants and Yuna's bracelet started to react like crazy. At least the manga was better because Yuyu turned into Zard to play different board games against his enemies and Zard just loves to torture his opponents everytime his opponents tries to cheat on him. There's even a chapter of the Manga where Yuyu/Zard enters a gameshow against Yuro in a TCG Roulette Rules game called Wheel of Rules while Yuna plays a Dark game against the JTV producer who wanted all Yuyu/Zard and Yuro's necklaces as well as Yuna's bracelet. The manga ended with Yuyu/Zard and Yuna playing an RPG called Fake Kingdom against Dark master Yuta who wanted all 4 necklaces to rule the world (By the way, Fake Kingdom was so popular that they even made a video game of the same name where Yuyu/Zard, Yuna and Kaizer entered a virtual version of the game where they battled against each other by having the game act like Beltmon)
Man, these fake cards have better quality than the fake cards I used to buy when I was young xD Although those cards at least were mostly correct, the only mistakes I remember seeing were the Flame Swordsman as a Effect Monster rather than a Fusion Monster, and the legendary Bulbasaur card that my friend had xD
I had bulbassaur too lmao and Dahaka from prince of Persia(The strongest card from my deck)
@@satomibyou2744 REALLY?! That's interesting xD
Theese are as nostalgic as authentic yugioh cards 😂
Hell yeah I had so many of these
They just don't make them like they used to.
My parents got me something like that when they were in Portugal in fall 2004. The cards had a laser shine. What ruined them is the crappy translations to English.
I bet they bought those at some chinese shop or during some fair counter(everything sold in that kind of place that isn't food is fake). Here in Portugal you will find a lot of that in fairs and chinese shops, the only places selling the real deal are toy/game stores(like toys'r us or some small local game shops) or in a few cases, book & office supply shops. Some of them fakes aren't even actual cards, they are actually stickers.
I remember printing pictures of rare cards and gluing them to real shitty cards🤣og yu gi oh days were the best
I'm 28 years old now. Seeing these cards takes me back to when I was 6. The way we played this in the Philippines back then, you and your opponent high-five with a card in hand. Then if your card falls face up you win, then take your opponent's card. So much nostalgia. Thanks for sharing.
This needs to be an official game format lol
Me too exactly I'm 27 now lol
Scummy thieves that sounds like
We had something similar, just more profound. We called it Half-Full, or maybe Half/Equal would be the better translation. Basically Full is both cards land on the same side, and Half is if they land on opposite sides(one falls face up and the other face down). Basically, you and your opponent take turns, one holds his card in front of him on two fingers, and the other hits it with his card and drops it so they both fall to the ground, while also calling the result as he/she does so(Basically, what you predict it will be, whether it's 'half' or 'full'/'equal'). If you call it right, you take both cards, If you call it wrong, your opponet takes them.
Oi pare ako rin.
Back in the day, fake and mistranslated cards were the only thing my friends and cousins could get, some "rarities" were so fucking disgusting, you could not even read the text of the card and were hard to the eyes. There are two that I remember clearly, one was called "Ensalada Mala" which literally translates to "Evil Salad" and I've never seen the real card and what its supposed name really is, still a mystery... Oh, and had Winged Dragon of Ra, but it was called "Arc System Dragon - Drake"... I don't know how hat translation is possible, but it's very funny
Do you at least remember the artwork of Ensalada Mala? It sounds like a bootleg of a bootleg Hungry Burger.
I had one of these bootlegs, I am so happy to see these actually exist and I wasn’t misremembering.
I wish I could find these now. They had these at a Chinese buffet near me and I thought they were so cool even though they were fake. For some reason though, the fake playmat would always make my hands burn almost like coated in harmful chemicals.
Funny how they have catapult turtle as a blue card with one name, and then at 2:30 you have another catapult turtle, this time yellow.
I think it would be pretty fun to host a tournament with only fake cards
I got some when I was a kid I learned to identify the fakes fast lol But if you peel some you may find another car mine had a spider-man in it 🤣
